New Signing
Barney McKeown signed for Dungannon Swifts after the start of the 2024-25 season. He was not on the club’s roster at the beginning of the campaign, but he has since been briefed on the challenges the Swifts faced during August and early September 2025.
Learning from the Past
According to club officials, McKeown has been given a comprehensive overview of the issues that plagued the team during that period. He has reviewed match footage, training reports and tactical analyses to understand why the Swifts struggled to maintain form. The player has expressed a desire to apply this knowledge to help the squad avoid similar pitfalls.
Looking Ahead
With the knowledge gained, McKeown is already integrating into the team’s defensive setup. He is working closely with the coaching staff to reinforce the back line and improve communication on the pitch. The Swifts’ management sees his arrival as a key step toward stabilising the club’s performance for the remainder of the season.
